There’s just something about the New River Gorge. To this day, it’s still one of my FAVORITE spots to shoot! Towering cliffs, quiet forest trails, wide-open views! It’s the kind of place that makes you want to hit pause and soak it all in. That’s exactly what this couple did during their engagement session here, and honestly? It felt like a movie!

A Quick Trip, Big Views, and Sweet Moments
These two were only in town for the weekend, visiting Fayetteville for a wedding, but they knew they couldn’t leave without capturing their engagement in one of the most beautiful places in West Virginia. Of course, I was all in!
We started at Beauty Mountain, where they slow-danced at the edge of the overlook as the sky was blue turning golden during sunrise. It was quiet, relaxed, and completely them. They laughed, played, kissed and we got to witness it all!
Then we headed to the Endless Wall Trail, one of the most scenic trails in the New River Gorge. It’s a favorite spot for engagement sessions in Fayetteville, WV- and for good reason. The hike isn’t too difficult, but it delivers the kind of views that take your breath away, with plenty of spots to stop of photos along the way.
They laughed the whole way. Held hands. Paused to take it all in. It was effortless. And it’s those kinds of in-between moments that make for the best photos! You know, the ones that feel like you!
