When I’m not behind the camera, I’m with my husband and our two kids, Luke and Leia. I love the simple things—pretty lakes, back porch sitting, walks, daisies, avocados, dreamy light, creating playlists, oh, and of course- good stories. I'm so thankful for this life and feel truly blessed to do what I love every day.
Hi, I'm Melena, the heart behind Melena Lawson Photography. My love for storytelling began with my first digital camera at a young age, where I found myself capturing everything—from nature to people. I dreamed of traveling and telling stories, and today, that dream is my reality.
After marrying my high school sweetheart (who now works side by side with me as my second shooter), he encouraged me to pursue my passion, and in 2012, I began my journey as a professional photographer. For over 12 years, I’ve poured my heart into capturing moments that tell meaningful stories, and it remains my greatest passion.
